Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Verdela mobile app (“Verdela”, “the app”), developed by Hasanain Alhamedi (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Verdela, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. Educational use only — not medical advice
Verdela provides educational and reference information about essential oils. It is not medical, health, or professional advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Essential oils can be powerful and, if misused, harmful. Always dilute appropriately, perform a patch test, and consult a qualified healthcare professional — especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for infants and children, for pets, or if you have a medical condition or take medication. You are solely responsible for how you use essential oils.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use Verdela for your own non‑commercial use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including: reverse‑engineering or tampering with it except as permitted by law; abusing, overloading, or attempting to bypass limits on the AI service; or using the app for any unlawful purpose. The AI assistant is for aromatherapy‑related questions; don’t rely on it for emergencies or professional decisions, and don’t submit personal or sensitive information in prompts.
4. AI‑generated content
AI responses are generated automatically from Verdela’s catalog and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Treat them as informational suggestions, not instructions, and apply your own judgment and the safety guidance above.
5. Intellectual property
The Verdela name, logo, design, text, and software are owned by the developer and protected by applicable laws. Bundled plant imagery is used under its respective licenses with attribution provided in the app’s Credits screen. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law.
6. Third‑party services
Verdela uses Google Gemini (to power AI features) and Google AdMob (to show ads). Your use of those features is also subject to Google’s terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Verdela is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error‑free, uninterrupted, or that its content is complete or current.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss or injury, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Verdela or your use of essential oils. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app (which, for the free app, is zero).
9. Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules, except where mandatory consumer‑protection laws of your country of residence apply.
